Semplo is simple job software for trades. It helps small service businesses keep track of:
- Today's jobs and the next 7 days
- Customers and contact details
- Quotes and work orders
- Invoices and payment status
- Gentle reminders when something is overdue
We built Semplo to stay focused: one place where you always know what's booked, what's sent, and what's paid.
Semplo is designed for independent tradespeople and small crews:
- Electricians, plumbers, painters, cleaners, handymen and other field service businesses
- Usually 1–3 people, often on the road, mainly working from their phone
- Busy enough that paper notes and spreadsheets start to break down
If that sounds like you, Semplo is meant to replace your whiteboard, not your accountant.
You own your data. Semplo is the tool you use to work with it.
In practice, that means:
- Each company (account) has its own isolated data set (customers, jobs, quotes, invoices).
- Other customers cannot see your data.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or data brokering.
- You can export your data (customers, jobs, invoices) to CSV from Settings at any time.
- You can delete your account from Settings; when you do, we remove your data according to our retention policy.
We use row-level security in the database so that every row is tied to an account and only members of that account can access it. Even if bugs appear in the app, the database still enforces that separation.
We do not add marketing pixels or invasive tracking scripts. Basic operational metrics are used only to keep the service running and improve the product.
Semplo uses Paddle as our payments provider and merchant of record.
What that means for you:
- You pay Paddle for your Semplo subscription; Paddle handles EU and international VAT on our behalf (calculation, collection and remittance).
- You can manage your subscription (upgrade, downgrade, cancel, update card) through the Billing section in Semplo, which opens the secure Paddle customer portal.
- All card details are stored and processed by Paddle, not by Semplo. We never see your full card number.
This setup lets us focus on building a good product while Paddle takes care of the heavy lifting around compliant billing and tax.
We try to keep the business side as simple as the product:
- Every new account starts with a free trial (no long-term contract).
- After the trial, you can pick a Solo or Small Crew plan and pay monthly.
- You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
- If a renewal payment fails, we give you time to fix it and show a clear banner instead of suddenly locking you out.
No hidden tiers, no setup fees, no phone calls required to cancel.
You should never feel locked into one tool.
- Import: You can import your existing customers from a CSV file so you don't have to re-type your whole address book.
- Export: At any time, you can export your customers, jobs and invoices as CSV from Settings.
- Delete: If you decide to stop using Semplo, you can delete your account from Settings and we will remove your data according to our retention policy.
